WHITIANGA ART GROUP SUMMER EXHIBITION

As part of the annual exhibition of the Whitianga Art Group, I will have a handful of recent pieces on show and available to purchase including block prints and water colour artworks.
The annual exhibition opens 4th January and runs until the end of the month. The exhibition will be held at 23 School Road, Whitianga. You can follow updates on their Facebook Page.
WAVES OF CHANGE Exhibition
Feb-March 2025
at the Mayfair Theatre, 80 Esplanade, Kaikōura.
This exhibition was a collection of original paintings, prints and photographs bringing awareness to Kaikoura’s amazing wildlife and some of the organisations working to protect them. Featured photographers Darren Creighton, Michaela Vanickova and Haylee Tehuia-Claxton added unique perspectives of wildlife found locally and further afield.
Waves of Change extended over 8 weeks as per request from the Mayfair Theatre given it's success during the original planned 4 week opening.
The Encounter Foundation hosted three local schools at the exhibition to experience the gallery and reflect on conservation themes. Each session focused on the benefits of the ocean as well as ways we can improve our habits to help our local environment. The students completed tasks to encourage them to think about how they engage with our environment. Then the students recreated their favourite artwork or created their own piece of artwork inspired by Kaikoura.
PAINT N SIP ART NIGHT
March 2025
at Emporium Brewing, 57A Beach Road, Kaikōura.
Dani's first Art Night went swimmingly and sold out! Visitors to Kaikoura and locals to the area joined to paint their own postcards while enjoying the lovely craft beer at Emporium Brewing. Each one created beautiful watercolour paintings with a strong ocean theme, it was great to see what people came up with no matter their level of painting.
